Farm is located in Mineral Springs, NC.
Must be good with children, have a firm knowledge of horses and horsemanship, and be able to work independently and
responsibly.
Pay is dependent upon experience. This position might also develop into further employment opportunities at our farm throughout
the summer and this fall.

Lazy R Ranch is currently looking for a part-time riding instructor for our afterschool lesson program. We offer group and private
Western riding instruction on Miniature Horses as well as selected full size horses. Our program is currently geared toward
beginning riders, riders looking to work on skill development and those returning to riding who may have lost confidence in their
riding ability either through disuse of skills or prior negative experiences with horses. The successful candidate must be able to
offer Western instruction, however, we are willing to add English lessons with the right instructor. Our program is small, but
growing, and we have students waiting to start spring lessons. Work schedule and pay is by the lesson and we encourage the
successful candidate to help us expand the program. Instructor will be covered by our insurance for lessons given on our ranch
and will be given the ability to set own lesson schedule with clients. Additional barn work may be possible for candidates desiring
additional hours. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have at least 5 years riding experience with documented education
from a knowledgeable instructor. References are required and will be checked. The successful candidate must be organized,
effective at planning, good with people (especially children) and must, of course, be an accomplished rider. Use of natural
horsemanship methods is required. Attention to safety is critical. Development of lesson plans and documentation of rider
progress will be required. All candidates will be evaluated by both the ranch owner as well as our trainer.
