Welcome to the Blue Ridge Cowboy Church in Fletcher, NC. One of the most exciting churches anywhere. If you like the cowboy culture, you'll love
the cowboy church! You don't have to be a cowboy to attend. Most people who come to cowboy church don't even own a horse. They tell me they
come because they like the relaxed atmosphere where they can be themselves, whether they have a Harley, or a horse, wear boots or suits, are
divorced or married, it just doesn't matter. It is a place you can feel welcome and right at home. Most folks who check us out end up staying. So
come on down, check out the Blue Ridge Cowboy  Church, we believe you'll end up staying too! Every Tuesday evening at 7PM, at the WNC Ag
Center  828-273-9635 or go to

12 - SC Animal Control gets numerous reports of neglect and abuse on horses, dogs, cats etc.  We have recently found out that one of the reasons
their hands are tied, especially for horses is that they have no where to put them if seized. Their laws also suck.  Apparently they are not permitted
to touch an animal unless it is dying on the ground.  To make a long story short, I have been working with a few ladies that have had enough and
directing them on how to "Get the squeaky wheel oil".  They have been successful!!!!  There will be a county commission's meeting on March 12 at
7:00 in the Clemson Building in York SC.  They have a speaker and are on the agenda to bring up the animal laws.  This is where all of you come in.
They need our support.  These ladies want to fill the meeting room so that animal lovers are flowing out the door.  You do not need to speak or sign
anything.  They just need our bodies there to show the commissions that they have had enough and the laws need to be reviewed, abusers need to
be prosecuted, charges need to be filed etc. Please pass this email on to anyone you may know that can help.  We can all meet somewhere,
carpool and all drive down together, caravan style.  This is very important so SC so please help to make a change.

This is a unique opportunity for anyone interested in developing a better understanding of the biomechanics of riding, whether you’re a trainer,
instructor or rider.
Mary Wanless, well known author of many books and DVDs, has dedicated her life to translating the secrets of talented riders into “bite-size” chunks
that make all the difference to every rider.
She has taught all over the world including Canada, Australia, Europe and the United States.
Mary’s resume’ includes a BHSII certification from England and a degree in Physics. She is also trained in the martial arts, Feldenkrais, Neuro
Linguistic Programming, and Applied Sports Coaching. She has a keen understanding of the human anatomy which enhances her ability to explain
the elements of a good seat.
The past twenty five years of her life have been devoted to developing a system for helping riders from beginners to Grand Prix with the
biomechanics of good riding.
She has coached well known FEI riders such as Sandy Howard (US team reserve member, 1980), Joni Bolton (2000 short list for Sydney Olympics),
and has worked with Heather Blitz (US Dressage team alternate, 2006 World Equestrian Games) for 14 years. Mary has also collaborated with Kyra
Kirkland and Richard White over many years which have also influenced the development of her techniques.
For more information on Mary please go to
www.mary-wanless.com.

Spots are available for the three day semi-private lessons which also include separate theory sessions.
Auditors are welcome at twenty dollars per day (all proceeds go to “Wings of Eagles”).

21-22 Southern Heritage Trail Horse Competition & Sale at Garrison Arena in Clemson, SC. Trail Clinic with Ed Dabney. Melvin Black
864-710-1735
21- 22 -Clinic with Susie Wiedman to be held at Blossom Ferry Farm in Rocky Point, NC.  Susie Wiedman began riding in her early teens in
Lincoln, Nebraska and was fortunate to have Lowell Boomer, the founder and past president of the United States Dressage Federation as one of
her early instructors. In addition to riding and competing in dressage, Susie also showed hunter/jumpers and combined training.

Susie and her horses won numerous state, regional and national awards. She served as President of the Nebraska Dressage Association and was
a board member of the Central States Dressage and Combined Training Association. After graduating from college, Susie moved east to train with
Kay Meredith. Susie purchased her first FEI horse, Encore, from Kay. Encore and Susie competed for years at the FEI levels. Susie earned her
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals from the USDF with Encore.

Susie spent the following 6 years with Linda Zang at Idlewilde Farm in Maryland, training her horse, Ovation, to the Grand Prix level.

Currently, Susie has two horses of her own coming along, and several training horses that will be competing from Training Level to FEI.

Susie's approach to teaching and training is guided by the classical principles of dressage. Horses and riders are brought along correctly, at their
own pace; short cuts and “quick fixes” are avoided. Susie wants her to students to be able to ride their horses with confidence, and wants the
horses to have confidence and trust in their riders. This is achieved by a balanced approach of Susie training the horse the aids and movements
and teaching the student to execute the aids and movements correctly.

Susie meets regularly with each of her students to develop both long and short term goals. Full training clients and lesson clients have regular video
lessons to track progress. The primary goal at Encore Sporthorse is to learn more about dressage, horsemanship and sportsmanship in a fun, team
atmosphere.
